Primaries

I just voted "no" on Prop C (the one that attempts to undermine Obamacare) and "yes" on Prop S (the one that attempts to support the City's public schools) only moments before the polls closed.  Having executed my civic duty, on what may be the hottest election day ever in the S-T-L (100+ degrees outside), I am presently luxuriating semi-nude on my sea green, comfy couch, with an "I voted" sticker prominently adhered to the bare skin of my chest.  Ain't democracy grand?

OM shanti, fellow citizens :)

PS  I now turn my attention to an unpublished blog entry that I've been fiddling with for the past week.  Hopefully, I'll be able to make it over into something presentable....

I voted NO on C, amongst other stuff I voted on- went home and grabbed the girls and went to the POOL where we spent two hours like baked fish... it was awesome. I did not get a sticker :(

I'm overcome w/ envy that you all were able to go to a pool on that crazy hot day :) Sounds lovely!

Oh, and thanks for voting no on C -- too bad we weren't able to prevail on that one, but it was a long shot :)

i knew i was behind on your blog, but not "beginning of august" behind. speaking of voting... my mother just reminded me to make sure i change my voter's registration. i was all like, "duh, mom, that's one of the first things i do when i move!" kudos to you for being a good citizen. not that i'm surprised ;-)
